The Law and Forensics Pathway at Richmond Hill High School offers students an in-depth introduction to the fields of legal studies, criminal justice, and forensic science. Through courses such as Criminal Law, Civil Law, Forensics, and Legal Studies, students explore the principles and systems that govern both criminal and civil cases. They gain hands-on experience with forensic techniques like fingerprint and DNA analysis, alongside a deeper understanding of the criminal justice process, from investigation to courtroom proceedings. The program encourages students to critically analyze real-world legal scenarios, developing problem-solving skills and legal reasoning that will serve them in both academic and career pursuits.

Beyond the classroom, students have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular programs like Mock Trial and the Young Debaters, where they apply their knowledge through role-play and debate. These activities enhance their public speaking, critical thinking, and argumentation skills, while providing a space for practical legal experience. Overall, the Law and Forensics Pathway prepares students for further education in law, forensics, or criminal justice, equipping them with a broad set of skills useful in a variety of professional settings.
